I like to approach creative work as a combination of instinct and evidence. Instinct usually tells me where to start, but the audience tells me whether the idea actually made it across. Past employers have endearingly called me “internet child” as I spend a lot of time paying attention to how different communities develop their own language, humor and ways of interacting. That awareness helps me find the point where strong creative and clear communication meet.

Outside the work
My free time tends to rotate between movies, sports, photography and whatever new interest has peaked my intrigue and I want to understand better. Lately I’ve been using Letterboxd to broaden my film taste, watching movies outside of what I’d normally gravitate toward. Geography and disc golf have become other fixations, with geography leading to learning every country flag and spending probably too much time on daily geography and trivia games lol.
